MERMAID color WIP

(EDIT: Okay DA is being all constapated again, and now its not showing her FULL view, so I guess you have to download her to appriciate it ... that is if they didnt ditch her ACTUAL SIZE file in favor of this small vesion... which looses alot of her detail work unfortnatey)

Im getting more comfortable in digital, mostly because Corel has "traditional tool" simulators. So I can work it like oil or pastel or even watercolor... YAY me!

YES, as many people have pointed out she is missing a certain piece of her anatomy in the general nipular area, as I keep explaining, this is because I am not sure if I am going to put little shells over them or not... I havent yet decided... you got a problem with it, well TOUGH, life isnt fair an its my freaking design. SUCK IT UP and deal.

As always, no refrence (other than my own anatomy, and anyone who has ever watched me sketch will notce how many times I repossition myself to get used to the shapes of things... if I need to... and they relentlessly make fun of me making facial expresions to match the mood of the piece... its a process damn it!) All of this stuff I JUST pull out of my head. Im thinking a tutorial is in order... I think doing this piece has finally given me the clarity to format it in a simple and progressive sort of way. *ponders*

EDIT:
She is now fully anitomical, I added her headlights just so that she would be a complete specimen, and because in this digital program I can add them easily enough by just layering them over her already... I hope your happy with it.

She also has color to her fins now... I am planning on a silver and blue/green tail with brown and pink striped fins... to balance out the colors in her hair...


UPDATE AGAIN:
NOW she has a background and some enhanced skin tones. I think this is about where she is going to stay until I make some decisions about her background (is she under water, sitting on rocks with waves behind her, etc) so she has a basic background and is still technically a WIP due to the fact that without one she isnt really finnished. But ah well... I also need to do some defining of her scales and fins, but again without a background I am kind of stuck with how to procede with them.
