Nai'a cartoon

A while ago I discovered this place called Neopets... dont ask me how or why but I found them adorable. They have these creatures that are basically mermaid horses (based on the ancient mythical beast called the "Hippocampus", but their cartoonized version is called a "Peophin"). And since dolphins and horses are two of my favorite things, and since, like most girls my age, I grew up with Disney's movie "the Little mermaid" as one of my favorite films, it was pretty obvious that I enjoyed it!

Its a funny thing, but I had a dream in 03 where the dolphins of my homeland came out of the sea as horses, and I have been designing a breeding program based on some of the imagry of that dream.

but just for fun I decided to do my interpretation of such a creature as the "Peophin", with the exception that she isn't really a Peophin completely as I didnt quite use all their defining qualities. I tend to like things that have elegance and refinement about them, so obviously my exploration of this concept is a bit more stylized...

Also since I recently recalled my love of the books in the Serendipity series, I decided to give her more of that style... it is still cartoony and cutesy... but it still retains a sense of refinement and elegance at the same time.
